Just as the peacock is said to be able to eat poisonous plants and thrive, so Kadampas train in transforming difficulties into joyful realizations on our spiritual path.
Buddha’s teachings in general help us deal with, or prevent, difficulties. There is a special set of teachings from our Kadampa masters on specific ways to transform adversities into spiritual progress, termed “lo-jong”, that are explained in Geshe Kelsang’s books Eight Steps to Happiness and Universal Compassion.
Since we all will confront many difficulties, we should train now in these approaches.
Includes Prayers for World Peace.
Teachings and guided meditations.
Everyone welcome! With Kadam Carol Lutker
